Letter in bottle

One of the oldest methods of correspondence is the writing of letters. Today we will tell you about an incredible story about a letter in a bottle.
In 1914, British soldier Thomas Hughes of World War I wrote a letter to his wife, sealed it in a bottle and threw it into the English Channel. Two days later, he died in France. After 85 years in 1999, a fisherman smashed the bottle in the River Thames. Unfortunately, it was too late to convey the message to Mrs. Hughes since she died in 1979. But not too late for Hughes' 86-year-old daughter, who was only a year old when her father She was reported to her at her home in New Zealand.
